itch
sometimes my brain gets an itch
even my sharp tongue can’t scratch
syllables fall from my lips
all before my mind can catch
where one foot goes to the next
and my skin begins tingling
eyes blending with nose and mouth
every trait intermingling
it’s a buzz of electrons
jumping through all dimensions
every possibility
on galvanized attention
until i hop down my throat
swim some lazy laps inside
i can finally say hello
to the passenger in mind
