a monthly poetry blog

Poetry

Wonderfully weird and entirely visceral, poetry is my passion. I write as often as I can (usually monthly), taking local classes and honing my craft.

Move slow
Slower than you have before
Take the time
To treat yourself like the friend you deserve

When I say it out loud, I am found, I am found
One day I hope to leave it on the ground, on the ground

We grow tomatoes
Go for long walks on meandering trails
The summers go by faster than they did before
But I hope I'm spending them the way I deserve

When I say it out loud, I am found, I am found
One day I hope to leave it on the ground, on the ground

The words I used to say
In the quiet of an ink-soaked night
No, they don't seem quite right like before
I hope I'm loving myself like I deserve

When I say it out loud, I am found, I am found
One day I hope to leave it on the ground, on the ground
