a monthly poetry blog

Poetry

Wonderfully weird and entirely visceral, poetry is my passion. I write as often as I can (usually monthly), taking local classes and honing my craft.

phantom limb

out of everything about you
that faded along with your ghost
i wish that my younger self knew
your presence is what i miss most

after all the backseats we shared
and the christmas parties i'd host
your jokes linger in the air, but
your presence is what i miss most

always chasing that old highway
i’ll see your soul at the next coast
i hope i’ve made you proud, i pray
your presence is what i miss most

because now that you've gone away
all i want is to hold you close
my phantom limb, i want to say
your presence is what i miss most
